I feel ovewhelmed , and anxieous most of the time , I'm 48 years old with 2 children both with ADHD, along with other emotional and learning disabilities. My wife is a very hard worker , but work is the only thing she seems to do without the use of alcahol , she is responsible about paying the bills and carries out her roll of loving mother and wife tirelessly but her depedency on alcahol is a constant worriesome stress on us all , This I'm certain has been caused by trauma that she had experienced long before I met her.I myself am not at all as healthy as I should be , There are many times I truly feel like giving up , instead I continue waiting for that magical day of change.

This story moves me because Juliet shares intimately through her quilts the perils of war. Hopefully others with a stroke or a traumatic brain injury or other issues such as PTSD will discover their own creative way to heal and be able to inspire others as Juliet has me.....What an incredible woman. Plus I love the dress.

Bless your heart you sweet lady. It's so hard living with these conditions and having to face the judgement of others too is really unfortunate. All we can do is hold our heads high, carry on and educate as we go along because in the end, it is all about education and awareness. I have pan-hypopituitary disease, M.E and POTS and have very similar problems. I have had friends walk away as they dont want the responsibility of the things I need them to be aware of if I go out to meet them without another carer, and then those who seem to think that people invent these conditions for attention!
No one can every really understand unless they themselves have such an illness but all we can do is hope to educate them part of the way and support each other. We are strong people, we have to be, we have learnt to be strong where others would fall down but don't give ourselves the credit we deserve. So I would like to take this opportunity to say WELL DONE, YOU ARE AMAZING!! ((HUGS!)) to all you amazing people with invisible disabilities. xxx
